Ashley Tisdale Gets Personal in 'Project Pink' PSA

In a new public service announcement for Puma’s ‘Project Pink,’ Ashley Tisdale shares her personal ties to breast cancer.

In the clip, the 27-year-old shows her mother Lisa a tweet, which reads, “I wear pink for my grandma. How about you? #projectpink @puma.”

Later in the announcement, the “High School Musical” star’s grandmother makes an appearance.

Miss Tisdale is the spokesperson for Project Pink, which raises money for breast cancer by selling Puma’s gear. Funds are also raised when people tweet #projectpink.

In a recent statement about her new initiative, Miss Tisdale shared, “I’m thrilled to be working with PUMA on Project Pink this season. Breast cancer is a cause that’s so close to my heart, and I love the program’s message of empowerment for young women,” adding, “I wear my pink for my grandmother, who recently battled breast cancer. I’m happy to say that she’s now in remission, but there are too many women out there who are still fighting.”
