James Franco Joins Action-Packed "Homefront"

Adding another film to his already impressive resume, James Franco has signed on to star in the Millenium Films action flick "Homefront."

According to a recent report by Variety, the 34-year-old actor will star as Gator, a meth tycoon who has taken over over a small town where an ex-DEA agent, played by Jason Statham, has moved to try and live a quiet life.

The film was originally based off of a book by Chuck Logan, but now the new action-packed script has been written and co-produced by Sylvester Stallone.

Production for the Gary Fleder directed project is set to get underway on September 24 in New Orleans.
