Jennifer Lawrence: Angling For a Higher “Catching Fire” Salary
After "The Hunger Games" catapulted her to fame earlier this year, Jennifer Lawrence is asking Lionsgate to hand over a much larger paycheck for her role in the sequel "Catching Fire."
According to THR, the leading lady of "The Hunger Games,” who attended a photo shoot in the Hollywood Hills this morning (August 7), is currently negotiating a $10 million contract for "Catching Fire," a mighty raise compared to her base salary of $500,000 for her debut role as Katniss which raked in $700 million worldwide.
The price tag is said to include Jennifer's salary and bonuses but there is a possibility she could end up earning more than $10 million from the film depending on how well it plays at the box office.
JLaw will soon be touching down in Atlanta, Georgia where production is said to begin next month for the November 2013 movie alongside Josh Hutcherson (Peeta), Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair), Philip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch Heavensbee), Jena Malone (Johanna Mason), Amanda Plummer (Wiress) and the most recent cast member Meta Golding (Enobaria).
