Bérénice Marlohe Covers British GQ August 2012
Having recently gotten her big break as a Bond girl, Bérénice Marlohe garnered herself a little added exposure by covering the August 2012 issue of British GQ magazine.
Hitting newsstands on Thursday (July 5), the feature article finds the 33-year-old French actress striking poses while scantily clad in skimpy lingerie with the interview touching on topics including her struggles finding work and averse position on baring all for the cameras.
Highlights from Miss Marlohe's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to British GQ!
On struggling to find work as an actress:
“All the French agents told me, ‘No, you don’t look like a French actress, this will not work.' Even people who saw me in acting workshops and wanted to introduce me to people; when those people considered my picture, they said, ‘No, she will never work in France.’ I don’t know what to say. I was not in the mold.”
On landing her role in the new Bond film 'Skyfall':
“I kept hearing it all the time - Bond girl, Bond girl, Bond girl - and I thought, ‘Oh my God, what do people expect?' Do they just expect someone who is pretty? What do they want me to do?’”
On how not baring all is actually more alluring:
“Nowadays you see too many naked women, all the time, everywhere. In video clips. It’s so boring! You lose this magic and suddenly a woman that is dressed seems way more attractive.”
