Rihanna Touches Down in Tokyo, Opens Up to Oprah
Touching down in the Land of the Rising Sun, Rihanna showed up at Narita International Airport outside of Tokyo, Japan today (August 16).
The “Umbrella” songstress looked cute and casual in a black hat, black t-shirt, and jeans as she text messaged on her mobile phone while strolling through the terminal.
Meanwhile, Ri-Ri’s fans are chomping at the bit to see her exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” coming up this weekend.
In a newly-released teaser from the show, Rihanna states, "It was a weird, confusing space to be in. Because as angry as I was, as angry and hurt and betrayed, I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help and who's going to help him? Nobody's going to say he needs help. Everybody's going to say he's a monster without looking at the source, and I was more concerned about him,” referring to her 2009 abuse at the hands of Chris Brown.
"I lost my best friend. Everything I knew switched ... switched in a night and I couldn't control that. So I had to deal with that, and that's not easy for me to understand or interpret. It's not easy to interpret on camera. Not with the world watching."
