Usher's Stepson Laid To Rest After Tragic Jet Ski Accident
Just three weeks after winding up in the hospital after a tragic water sport accident, Usher's 11 year-old stepson, Kile Glover, was laid to rest in Atlanta, GA on Friday (July 27).
Earlier that day, Glover's funeral took place at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church where friends and family, including the Grammy-winning singer, gathered to remember the "most fun, creative, sweet, respectful boy."
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Kile was taken off life support less than one week ago. Glover was pronounced brain dead after being hit by a jet ski while tubing on Lake Lanier in Georgia.
According to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, a family friend may be to blame for the entire incident. Kile, the son of Usher’s estranged wife Tameka Foster, was apparently floating on an inner tube with a 15-year-old girl by a pontoon boat when 38-year-old Jeffrey S. Hubbard crashed into both children.
Details of the accident are still being determined, but Tameka took to her Twitter page to thank the many friends and fans for the prayers, writing, "I appreciate the hundreds, perhaps thousands of prayers. I'm so grateful to you guys. Kile was the most fun, creative, sweet, respectful boy."
Kile's mother has also started a fund in the boy's name to "increase water safety- thru implementing laws, policies & education."
Miss Foster supplied information on her social media page, tweeting, "Many have asked where to send flowers, but in Lieu of flowers. we ask that you make a contribution to the Kile Glover Fund @ Bank of America," adding, "Bank of America Acct # 3340 3823 9828 OR via PayPal email TheKileGloverFund@gmail.com ... I love you guys. Goodnight."
